Join the ROCKTOWN Down & Dirty Challenge!

Ready to test your strength, endurance, and teamwork? Rocktown Down & Dirty is your chance to prove you're as tough as a farmer! Gather your co-workers, family, friends and everyone else and join Rockingham County's first-ever hybrid fitness fundraiser, all to support the Rockingham County Fair Barn Project.

What to Expect

Rocktown Down & Dirty is a high-energy event that mixes farm chores with Tough Mudder-type challenges. Assemble your team of four and tackle farm-inspired events that will put your communication, strength, and stamina to the test.

When and Where

  • Location: Rockingham County Fairgrounds, Pepsi Grandstand
  • Date: Oct. 10, 2026
  • Time: Registration starts at 7:30 a.m.
    • Event starts at 8 a.m.

Sponsorship Opportunities

Get your business name in front of hundreds of individuals within the community by sponsoring the Rocktown Down & Dirty!

Event Sponsorship: $1000 contribution includes (5 available events)***first come first serve.
  • Registration for a 4-person team
  • Logo on the event t-shirt
  • Booth/banner space
  • Opportunity to distribute branded giveaways at event
  • Signage throughout the events
  • Name mentioned and opportunity to speak on mic
  • Opportunity to do a post on the Facebook page.

Corporate Sponsorship: $500 contribution includes

  • Registration for a 4-person team
  • Logo on the event t-shirt
  • Booth/banner space
  • Opportunity to distribute branded giveaways at event
  • Logo will be posted on the Facebook page
Donation Sponsorship: $100 contribution includes
  • Special thank you on the mic
  • Special thank you on the Facebook page
*** ALL SPONSORS, WHETHER YOU HAVE A COMPETING TEAM OR NOT WILL RECEIVE EVENT T-SHIRTS AS A SPECIAL THANK YOU.

Just Registering a Team

Pricing and Registration

  • Early Bird Special: $250 per team (FEB-APRIL)
  • Regular Team Pricing: $350 per team (MAY—AUG)
  • Late Team Registration: $400 per team (SEPT—OCT) *while available slots last
  • Junior Team Pricing: $100 per team (FEB—OCT) ages 13-16
All sponsors, volunteers, and participants will receive T-shirts. Everyone competing will receive T-shirts and medals for the event.

Compete for Glory

Get your team together and vie for the Rocktown Down & Dirty Championship Trophy! It’s not just about the competition—it’s also about supporting the future of agriculture in Virginia and having an absolute blast doing it. Plus, you'll make new connections and create memories that will last a lifetime. There will be awards for the grad and reserve teams of each division. There will be a men’s division, woman’s division, and co-ed division. New to this year there will be a juniors division.

Important Notes

  • Every participant must sign a waiver at check-in on

  • Weather Appropriate Attire
  • Feel free to have uniforms
  • Pay close attention to the Facebook page should be able to get all information and questions answered through posted information there.
  • Please invite all family and friends to come watch and cheer you on. It will be $1.00 Favor admission to get in if you’re not a sponsor or competing in the event.

SPONSOR AND REGISTER YOUR TEAM, TODAY!

We are working on finalizing a spreadsheet where it’s easier to register sponsor teams, regular teams, and get all the proper information like category your competing in, team name, all participants on your team and their T-shirt sizes.
