If you are looking to get credit for learning a variety of skills then the fairgrounds is the place for you. Marketing, event planning, landscaping, hands-on maintenance, working with social media and tourism, office skills, and archiving are just some of the areas where you can gain experience. Semester based assignments for fall, spring, and summer are available. If experience is your goal then check us out! The Rockingham County Fair exists as a tribute to the commitment and dedication of its volunteers. We have hundreds of jobs that are successfully executed during the annual Fair in August as well as a growing number of events throughout the year that need volunteers to assist.
